It is a privilege to serve as the Principal of Chapin Elementary School. The smiling faces and positive culture here make every day a joy. With eighteen years of experience in the classroom and administration in District Five, I have had the opportunity to work with students and staff from pre-K through 5th grade.  What I treasure most about education is building meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families. 

My journey is fueled by a deep love for our community and the belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive. Together, we will continue to build a school where learning, growth, and connection flourish. If there is anything I can do to support you, please do not hesitate to reach out.

  I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Chapin Elementary, bringing 19 years of experience in education to this role. For the past four years, I served as the Administrative Assistant Principal and Placement Chair here at Chapin where I had the opportunity to support students, staff, and families in meaningful ways. I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

  Being an educational leader is truly my passion, and I feel blessed to work in a profession that allows me to positively impact the lives of others each day. I remain committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive and every staff member feels supported and empowered.

My motto is: “You’re never too young to teach and you’re never too old to stop learning."

   Greetings to the Chapin Elementary Community. My name is Dr. Erica Spratley and I'm honored to join the Chapin Elementary family as the new Administrative Assistant Principal! With over 20 years of experience in education and a heart for students, I'm excited to support our incredible staff, students, and families.
