I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve as Principal at Chapin Elementary School. Prior to my time at Chapin Elementary, I served as Principal at CrossRoads Intermediate School for 10 years and as Assistant Principal for Instruction for 8 years. My teaching experience includes 5 years at Busbee Middle School and 2 years at Newberry Middle School. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education - Social Sciences from Clemson University and a Master's Degree in Education Administration from the University of South Carolina. I truly love working in a school setting every day and am inspired by the hard work of our teachers, staff, and students. It is an honor to work in the Chapin community and serve the amazing people at Chapin Elementary School!

It is a privilege to work at Chapin Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.  The smiling faces and positivity within the culture of Chapin make it a joy to be at work each day.  Having worked in District Five for sixteen years, I have experience in working with grades pre-K through 5, including academically gifted students.  My favorite part of working in education is developing relationships with the students and families within the community.  If there is anything that I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

As the AAP and Placement Chair, I have the opportunity to utilize my leadership skills and over 17 years of educational experience to foster growth within our staff, students, and community. I hold two bachelor's degrees, one in Marketing and the other in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland University College. During my teaching career, I pursued further education and obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. I feel blessed to work in a profession that I’m passionate about and one that allows me to positively impact the lives of many. I remain steadfast in my belief in the importance of creating a welcoming learning environment for all.

My motto is: “You’re never too young to teach and you’re never too old to stop learning."
