Executive Board

M. Fabrizio

Michelle Fabrizio-Rathbun, President   I'm Michelle Fabrizio, I look forward to serving as your PTO President for 2023-2024. Last year I was able to be a part of the PTO board and I am so excited to be doing it again this year! I am originally from Connecticut and moved to South Carolina in 2011 after graduating from college. I have a son heading into the 3rd grade, a daughter heading into the 1st grade, and a third little one coming in February! It has been a true blessing to be a part of the PTO and be able to serve the staff, students and families here at Chapin Elementary.

Co- Vice President

Ashley Olsen, Treasurer

I’m Ashley Olsen and I’m so excited and blessed to be serving on the CES PTO board again, but this year as treasurer.  I am a South Carolina native who lived in Washington State for 28 years and moved back here with my husband and two children about two and a half years ago.  It feels so good to be home again!  My daughter is a 6th grader at Chapin Intermediate and my son is a 4th grader here at CES.  I am a former first grade teacher.  I left that job when my daughter was born for a job that I love even more...being a stay at home mom.  Serving the staff, students and families at CES is truly a joy!

Krista Schaefer, Secretary

I met my husband Chris in Harbor Island, Bahamas back in 2003, and we are about to celebrate 19 years of marriage. We have lived in Jupiter, FL until last summer of 2022 when we decided to move our family to Chapin. We have two boys. Joah is 16, on the honor roll,  and attending CHS, and CATS for aerospace engineering.  Lucas is starting the 3rd grade and loves dinosaur movies, Legos, and I survived history books. I graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management  in 2000 and have spent 28 years in the industry as a chef and restaurant manager. When we moved, I decided to work full time with my husband at our home business.  I love decorating and helping the teachers when I can to decorate the rooms or hallways, and I also love reading to the kids. I look forward to serving the teachers and parents of CES this year as the PTO secretary and hospitality chair.
